How to Clean Penis: Quickly Get Rid of Smegma!

What is the white stuff that builds on my foreskin?

Smegma is the thick, white substance that gets accumulated under the foreskin of the penis. It is more common in men who are not circumcised and those who don’t clean the area well. It’s not just men who get smegma buildup but also women in the vaginal area. Although it’s completely normal to have smegma, bacteria grows in this buildup and this can cause bad odor and itch in the genitals. This can also make the head of the penis swell and hurt.

Are smegma pearls normal?

Tiny glands called sebaceous glands in the penis and vagina release smegma to lubricate these areas. It's made from a combination of fatty oils, shed skin cells, and moisture like sweat.

In men, smegma collects between the foreskin and the head of the penis. In women, it can build up between the folds of the vulva and around the clitoris.

It's normal to have some smegma. But if you don't wash with an intimate wash for men, it can start to build up under the foreskin and head of the penis.

Can Smegma cause urine infections?

The bacteria that grows in the smegma can make the head of the penis red and also swollen which is also known as balanitis. It can tighten the foreskin which is why you may find it difficult to pull it back. If you see any redness, swelling or bad odor then you should either try using an intimate wash for men and if the problems persist then contact your doctor.

How can I remove the white stuff from my penis?

The easiest way to remove smegma is to maintain a personal hygiene routine that includes an intimate wash for men. In men, that means properly cleaning your genitals, including around and under your foreskin.

Your body naturally produces lubricants which make it easy for the foreskin to retract. The buildup of this lubricant along with natural oils, dead skin cells, dirt and sweat is called smegma. Which is why it is less common in circumcised males. Properly cleaning your penis with a men’s intimate wash is the easiest way to remove smegma.

Gently pull your foreskin back. You will notice that you might not be able to pull it back if the smegma hardens. If you force it then you can cause tears which can lead to serious injuries, pain and infections.

Use an intimate wash for men with warm water everyday to wash your genitals. Make sure you don’t scrub the area because that can irritate the skin. If you are not able to retract the foreskin then you can use a natural body oil which may loosen the accumulation. Thoroughly rinse all the hygiene wash and gently pat the area dry. Wash your privates everyday to remove the smegma and also prevent smegma buildup.

Do not scrape the smegma with any sharp thing or even cotton swabs because that will just cause irritation and pain and tears. If the smegma isn’t improving after a week of proper cleaning, or if it’s getting worse, see your doctor.

Contact your doctor if the head of your penis is red or inflamed. This might mean that you have excess smegma buildup which has led the bacteria to grow out and caused an infection which can only be cured with proper medical attention.
